JESSICA SIMPSON's dad JOE has denied reports that he has urged her to dump American footballer Tony Romo.
Joe Simpson said allegations that he disapproved of her relationship with Romo were laughable and insisted that the sportsman was "the best".
Earlier this month, the National Enquirer reported that he was concerned about the sportsman's influence over his pop star daughter.
A source told the tabloid: "Joe now feels that Tony has become too much of a distraction for Jessica. Any free time she has, Jess wants to spend with Tony. But rather than blaming his daughter's work ethic, Joe points the finger at Tony.
"He wants Tony out of her life, but Jessica loves him and won't even consider leaving him at this point."
But Mr Simpson has laughed off the report, insisting Romo is the "best" boyfriend his daughter could have.
In a post on social networking site Twitter.com, Simpson wrote:, "So tired of people saying I don't like Jess and Tony... He is the best... Don't believe the National Enquirer!!!"
Simpson, who was previously married to singer Nick Lachey, has been dating Romo since November 2007.

Gwyneth Paltrow talks of 'salacious' school days
Gwyneth Paltrow says her schooldays were "salacious".
The 'Two Lovers' actress has revealed her time at The Spence School in New York - which is regarded as one of the top private schools in the US - was full of scandal.
She said: "You know there were some salacious things that went on."
When asked if she was ever involved, Gwyneth replied: "Well not until I got a bit older!"
The Spence School - which Gwyneth attended before spending a year at the University of California - is commonly believed to be the inspiration behind the raunchy US TV show 'Gossip Girl'.
The programme is based on a series of novels by Cecily von Ziegesar and follows the tell-all blog of one of the wealthy students.
Gwyneth added: "It's quite interesting, I don't know how much they dramatise the show. But I can see it being a bit salacious."
The TV adaptation stars Blake Lively and Leighton Meester as two of the socialite schoolgirls.
Elvis poem sells for thousands
A POEM handwritten by Elvis Presley has sold at auction for £13,992 ($20,035.20).
The verse, written on a scrap piece of paper and called Ode to a Robin, was featured in an auction of Elvis' possessions at gottahaverockandroll.com.
The scrawled poem was well known amongst Elvis' hardened fans because the late singer would sometimes recite it on stage.
It was also believed to be on his answering message at his Graceland home

Mariah shakes off the Cannon
Mariah Carey's husband says he's "not worthy" of appearing on her records.
The US singer's spouse Nick Cannon jokes he doesn't want to jeopardise his wife's phenomenally successful career by collaborating with her.
He said: "I am not worthy of being on a Mariah Carey record. Please, we're going to try to keep her career soaring. I can't even step into the studio with that woman. She is incredible."
Nick, 28, also believes he managed to make his marriage happen by constantly talking about how attracted he was to Mariah before the pair met.
He continued: "I say I spoke my marriage into existence. I was the biggest Mariah Carey fan ever. Every time I'd do interviews and they'd ask, 'Who is your celebrity crush?' I was like, 'Mariah Carey! I've got to meet Mariah Carey.' "
Although the couple - who are to celebrate their first wedding anniversary on April 30 - are planning to have children, Nick says they want to enjoy their marriage first.
He added: "I think what it is, is the public really wants us to have kids. We're going to do it and when we do it we're going to let you all know. But right now, we're trying to enjoy the newlywed aspect
A-ha UK dates announced
A-HA - Morten Harket, Magne Furuholmen and Paul Waaktaar are back with an arena tour in November 2009 coming to Birmingham NIA on Monday 2nd, Manchester MEN Arena on Tuesday 3rd and London O2 Arena on Wednesday 4th.
The band last toured the UK in 2005 to over 60,000 fans in support of their return to the Top 10 with the single 'Analogue' and the album of the same name. In the same year they played the Live 8 concert in Berlin, made history in Oslo with 120,000 turning up to their Frognerparken show and were awarded the prestigious 'Q Magazine Inspiration' award at a star-packed London ceremony and had everyone from U2, Coldplay, Morrissey and Keane citing them as influences on their career.
'Analogue' also marked exactly 20 years since a-ha topped the Billboard Hot 100 and conquered the pop globe with 'Take On Me', before setting out to show that was merely the top layer in a complex and sophisticated collective.

Lindsay Lohan was protected from paparazzi by a group of bikers.
The 'Mean Girls' actress and her entourage were on their way home after being denied entry to top Hollywood nightclub Villa when they were suddenly surrounded by a swarm of photographers.
When her bodyguard saw a gang of leather-clad motorcyclists, he called them over to scare off the paparazzi.
Gossip website X17Online said of the incident: "After getting denied from Villa, Lindsay and her entourage headed to a private residence in Hollywood, and as they were leaving, Lindsay's bodyguard called a biker gang to the rescue!
"Within moments, an army of leather-clad motorcycle men approached the photographers' cars and began threatening them. The photographers called the cops, but once the officers showed up, they didn't seem very concerned and no arrests were made."
Lindsay - who is currently dating DJ Samantha Ronson and has completed three stints in rehab - recently claimed the media's obsession with her private life has harmed her career.
She said: "There's not much I can do about the fact that I've become a kind of obsession. I can't change that. Courtney Love has been accused of trying to 'terrorise and destroy' a fashion designer.
Dawn Simorangkir – who owns the Boudoir Queen clothing line – has filed a lawsuit against the former Hole singer, claiming Courtney has threatened and spread lies about her.
The suit, which was filed at the Los Angeles Superior Court yesterday (26.03.09), states Courtney 'has embarked in what is nothing short of an obsessive and delusional crusade to terrorise and destroy' Dawn.
The designer – who is suing for libel, breach of contract, invasion of privacy and emotional distress – alleges Courtney falsely accused Dawn of selling cocaine and being a drug addict, prostitute and a thief.
Dawn also claims the singer called her a 'horrible lying b***h' and an 'a**wipe nasty lying hoebag thief'.
Insisting she is 'the latest victim of the rocker’s volatile personality, hair trigger temper, and malicious and tortuous behaviour", Dawn alleges Courtney threatened her life by saying she would be 'hunted until she was dead'.

فضيحة دينا والزواج السري - فضائح الزواج السري للفنانين
البحث خلف الزواج يشبه السير في حقول الألغام، فعلى الرغم من انكشاف بعض الزيجات إلا أن الفنانات يرددن دائماً أنها مجرد إشاعات، وإنها ضريبة الشهرة، كثيراً مايتم الزواج سراً حتى ينتهي «سراً» أيضاً، وأحياناً تجري الرياح بما لاتشتهي السفن، وتقع حوادث بعينها تكشف المستور! والسؤال الآن: لماذا تلجأ الفنانات لإخفاء زواجهن أحياناً؟ هل لأنه زواج مصلحة، أم لأنه محكوم عليه منذ البداية بالفشل بعد أن يتلاشى بريق الشهرة، وتصبح الفنانة مثل أية إمرأة أخرى. «سيدتي» تفتح هذا الملف الشائك!
عقد زواج أم كلثوم
مؤخراً كشفت المؤرخة الموسيقية المصرية د. رتيبة الحفني سراً عن حياة أم كلثوم مؤكدة أن كوكب الشرق تزوجت من مؤسس صحيفة «أخبار اليوم» مصطفى أمين، وأمضت معه 11 عاماً، وكان عقد زواجها في يد الزعيم المصري الراحل جمال عبدالناصر.
وقالت الحفني التي تعتبر بين أهم مؤرخي الموسيقى العربية في ندوة عقدت في مكتبة الإسكندرية: «إن أم كلثوم تزوجت من مصطفى أمين سراً لأنها كانت تريد أن تكون في نظر جمهورها لفنها فقط» وأوضحت أن أم كلثوم نفسها هي من أفشى إلى المقربين منها أن عقد زواجها من أمين موجود بيد عبد الناصر.
ومن المعروف أن مصطفى أمين كان من أكثر الصحافيين قرباً من أم كلثوم، وأكثرهم متابعة لأخبارها إلى جانب أنه كان ينفرد بالسبق الصحافي عن أهم أخبارها، وهو الذي نشر أخبار زواجها من الموسيقار والملحن الراحل محمود الشريف.
كما أكدت الحفني أن أم كلثوم عاشت حياة زوجية كاملة مع الملحن والموسيقار الراحل محمود الشريف، ولم يكن مايربطهما عقد زواج فقط حيث كان يشاهد خارجاً من غرفة نومها بالروب.
فاتن حمامة: 3 زيجات
أما سيدة الشاشة العربية فاتن حمامة فقد تزوجت ثلاث مرات في حياتها، وأشهر هذه الزيجات زواجها الذي انتهى في منتصف الستينات من الفنان العالمي عمر الشريف الذي من أجله انفصلت عن زوجها الأول المخرج عز الدين ذو الفقار، وقد أنجبت منهما نادية عز الدين ذو الفقار وطارق عمر الشريف، وهي حالياً متزوجة من الطبيب د. محمد عبد الوهاب، وقد ذكرت ذات مرة أن الفنان كمال الشناوي كان شاهداً على زواج فاتن حمامة من عز الدين ذو الفقار قبل أن يبارك هذا الزواج والدها أحمد حمامة، وقد تزوجا في البداية سراً وسافرا إلى الإسكندرية وبعد ثلاثة أيام علم والدها.

The Jonas Brothers have staying power
Steve Greenberg, the CEO of S-Curve Records, is the man responsible for discovering the Jonas Brothers. He was working at Columbia Records in 2005 and was sorting through a pile of CDs to determine which artists the company would keep and which it would let go.

Rock Hall of Fame to open Springsteen exhibit
CLEVELAND - Seeking something fresh and exciting to complement its upcoming induction ceremony, the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum has gotten its fondest wish — the cooperation of 1999 inductee Bruce Springsteen in launching a new exhibit solely dedicated to the Boss.
The hall on Friday announced plans to open the exhibit "From Asbury Park to the Promised Land: The Life and Music of Bruce Springsteen" on April 1, three days before the hall holds its induction ceremonies in Cleveland. Featuring various memorabilia from Springsteen, the exhibit is expected to run through the spring of 2010.
"He's someone we've always wanted to do a big exhibit on," said Jim Henke, the Rock Hall's curator. "So it's one of those things that I'd bring up with his manager from time to time. Last summer they said, 'Yes, it makes sense now.'"

LOS ANGELES - During Chris Brown’s court appearance in Los Angeles Superior Court on Thursday, Rihanna’s attorney told Brown and his lawyer, Mark Geragos, that the “Disturbia” singer would like the court proceedings to be over “quickly.”
Following the approval of a request by Brown’s attorney to delay the R&B star’s arraignment on two felony charges for an alleged incident involving Rihanna on February 8, Rihanna’s attorney, Donald Etra, approached Brown and whispered, “Rihanna would like this over as quickly as possible.”
Brown then said, “I’m just a little confused about the timeline, how they proceed, what’s going on?”

Emma Watson's Twitter rage
The 'Harry Potter' actress has denied she wrote "I got into Yale!" on Twitter, claiming she doesn't even have an account with the social networking site.
A statement on her official website said: "There have been several rumours spreading recently that Emma has accepted a place at Yale University after 'telling her fans via her Twitter account'.
"Emma does not have a Twitter account and these rumours are false. Emma is still trying to decide whether she wants to attend university in the UK or the USA and hasn't accepted any placements at this time."
Emma - who plays Hermione Granger in the 'Harry Potter' franchise - is planning to start university this year, after deferring for a year to go travelling.Â
She said last October: "I've applied to a few universities for next year, including several American ones. If I do go there I will do a liberal arts degree, but if I stay in the UK I'll do English Literature."
The 18-year-old actress also prompted rumours she was to attend Harvard, another elite US university, after visiting the English department at the Massachusetts university.

Supermodel Niki Taylor Has a Baby Girl
Niki Taylor and her husband, NASCAR driver Burney Lamar, have welcomed a baby girl.
Ciel Taylor Lamar -- who weighed 7 lbs., 8 oz. -- was born at 11:30 a.m.in Nashville on Wednesday (a day before Taylor's 34th birthday).

This is the first child for the couple.
They met at a charity event in January 2005 and wed a year later. Taylor told Usmagazine.com, "I looked at Burney and said to myself, 'This is the guy I'm going to marry.'"

لماذا تأخر إصدار ألبوم عمرو دياب الجديد؟
ماهى الاسباب التى أدت إلى عدم إصدار ألبوم النجم الكبير عمرو دياب حتى الآن رغم مرور أسابيع طويلة على الإعلان عن إصداره ؟ هذا هو السؤال الذى راح عشاق دياب فى كافة الأقطار العربية يبحثون عن إجابة عليه طيلة الأيام الماضية خاصة وانهم كانوا يتوقعون إصداره فى سباق عيد الفطر كما سبق للشركة المنتجه تأكيد على ذلك أكثر من مرة .
توجهنا بالسؤال للزميل حسام مصطفى (المستشار الإعلامى لشركة روتانا ) ففجر مفاجأة بقوله ان الألبوم لم ينتهِ العمل فيه بعد حيث أن دياب لا يزال يواصل تسجيل بعض الأغنيات الجديدة لضمها للألبوم إضافة إلى أن مجموعة الأغنيات التى تسربت من الألبوم خلال الايام الماضية لبعض مواقع الإنترنت وسوق الألبومات المزورة قد دفعت القائمين على الشركة الى التراجع عن فكرة إصدارها بالألبوم وبوضوح أكثر استبدالها بأغنيات أخرى وقد تم أخذ كافة الاحتياطات اللازمة حتى لايتم تسريب أي أغنيات أخرى منه .
حسام مصطفى فجر مفاجأة أخرى فى تصريحه لنا بتأكيده على أن مجموعة الاغنيات التي يتم حاليا الاعلان عنها بالعديد من القنوات وتحميلها بطريقة "Ring tone" لن يتم أيضا إصدارها فى الألبوم الجديد . وحول ما تردد بأن الالبوم تم تأجيله بسبب عدم الانتهاء من إعداد البوسترات وأدوات الدعاية الخاصة به وكذلك الغلاف لعدم استقرار دياب على اللوك الجديد الذي سيظهر به، نفى حسام مصطفى هذا الكلام واكد انه لم يتم التطرق لهذا الامر حتى الان لسبب بسيط ان التركيز يتم حاليا على الاغاني فقط .
نانسى عجرم نفت رغبتها لمنح إبنتها الجنسية الأمريكية
نفت المطربة اللبنانية نانسي عجرم كل ما قيل عن سعيها وزوجها طبيب الأسنان اللبنانى فادى الهاشم السفر للولايات المتحدة الأمريكية فى الصيف القادم بهدف الإقامة هناك حتى موعد وضع مولودتها لضمان منحها الجنسية الأمريكية .
النجمة اللبنانية المحبوبة أكدت أنها لم تفكر على الإطلاق فى هذا الأمر كما أنها لم تناقشه مع زوجها لكونه أمر سابق لأوانه ورغم هذا فوجئت بالأقاويل تتردد على نطاق واسع بالعديد من الصحف والمجلات ومواقع الإنترنت المختلفة دون أن تصرح به لأي شخص أو جهة إعلامية أو غير إعلامية.

أغنية Boom Boom Pow لفريق Black Eyed Peas متاحة الآن على الإنترنت
بدأ ويل آي.آم Will.i.am، بعد قيامه بعزف مجموعة أغنيات الحملة الإنتخابية الأمريكية ، الإعداد لألبوم جديد مع فريق Black Eyed Peas. ويحمل الألبوم، وهو التالي لألبوم "Monkey Business" (2005)، اسم "The E.N.D.(Energy Never Dies)" وسيتم طرحه في الأسواق في 9 يونيو القادم.
وأغنية "Boom Boom Pow"، إحدى أغنيات الألبوم الجديد، متاحة حالياً على الموقع الرسمي للفريق، وهي تجمع بين غناء وموسيقى الهيـپ-هوپ والرقص الإلكتروني والريتم أند بلوز R'n'B وتنتهي بغناء فردي غريب يشبه صوت ناموسة مخمورة، لذا فهي موجهة إلى جمهور عريض، مما يبشر بنجاح عالمي جديد للفريق القادم من ولاية كاليفورنيا.
فريق The Prodigy
بلغ الألبوم الجديد لفريق The Prodigy ، المتخصص في موسيقى الأندرجراوند إلكترو Underground-electro ، المركز الأول في المبيعات في المملكة البريطانية المتحدة. فوفقاً للمؤسسة الرسمية البريطانية للوائح التصنيفات الموسيقية ، باع الألبوم "Invaders Must Die" ما يقرب من مائة ألف نسخة في أسبوع واحد ، مما يجعله أحد أكثر الألبومات سرعة في حركة البيع منذ بداية العام الحالي.
وتجدر الإشارة إلى أن كافة تسجيلات هذا الفريق منذ صدور ألبومهم "Music for the Jilted Generation" عام 1994 ، تحتل المراكز الأولي على لوائح التصنيفات البريطانية، ماعدا ألبومهم الأول "Experience" الصادر عام 1992 حيث واجه وقتها العديد من الانتقادات ولم ينجح في تحقيق المبيعات المطلوبة.

كانيي ويست لديه مشكلات مع الذات
إنتقد كانيي ويست Kanye West فريق Radiohead للتعامل معه بتعال واضح في كواليس حفل جوائز الجرامي. وكان الأمر بمثابة ضربة قاسية لكانيي المسكين الذي سبق وأن صرح في فيلم وثائقي مهدى إليه بأنه يعتبر هذا الفريق القادم من مدينة أوكسفورد بمثابة منافسه الرئيسي من الناحية الفنية.
